Understanding Hardisk

Setting Jumper

IDE connector

Ribbon Cable

Currently the average hard drive is already using the system so it does not require a SATA ribbon cable (Cable IDE)
When installed on a computer hard drive 2 pieces, then by setting Setting Jumper we can determine where the hard drive where the Primary and Secondary hard disk is usually called Master and Slave.
Master is the main hard drive where the system is installed, while the Slave is the second hard drive is usually required for storage of documents and data.
When Jumper setting is not set, then the hard drive will not work.
Power connector
 Is a source of direct current from the power supply. Power supply to the hard drive there are two parts:

Voltage 12 Volt, serves to move the disc and mechanical as Head.
2. Voltage of 5 volts, is used to power on the Logic Board mesupply to work to send and receive data.
