Summary
the objective is to produce a family of materials that will develop a unique
personality and visual image for the smythe campus in Vancouver, british
Columbia, home of multiple smythe subsidiaries and divisions.
As
background, smythe industries was launched in 1995 following the acquisition of
Wilson aluminium foundries, Ltd (Canada) and fenwick rolling mills, inc.
(U.S.A) and based in vancouver. The site is also the headquarters for global
aluminium research, research and development subsidiary. In addition, there are
discussions concerning the establishment of a special alloy research institute
at the Vancouver campus.
Each
of the entities has unique personality traits, management structures, and
business cultures which will need to be recognized and incorporated into the
design process.
